The distinction matters because the delivery requirements are different.
A static code is shared by eligible participants in the campaign.
Example:
SAVE15
This fits a prepared automation because the same configured response can deliver the same current code to qualifying commenters.
The commerce platform controls:
- when the code starts and expires
- how many times it can be used
- whether one customer can reuse it
- which items qualify
- how the discount is calculated
A unique code is generated or assigned for one person or one use.
ZayDM should not be described as dynamically generating, reserving or synchronizing individual coupon codes unless that capability is explicitly implemented and verified.
If your campaign requires unique codes, use the commerce or promotion system as the source of truth and confirm the actual delivery integration before publishing that promise.
For the standard ZayDM workflow, use an externally created campaign code that can be safely included in the prepared response.
